Only in Arizona

Check out this photo...."contrasting" is the word that fits best. A slim-winged, long-tailed white colored hawk (adult male Northern Harrier) in the same frame of view as a stocky black hawk (Common Black Hawk). One of the reasons I love visiting Arizona! Sorry I haven't been blogging, but I will start blogging several times a week for HawkWatch International as soon as their website changes take place, should be soon.

hah, that is neat to have two polar opposites in the same frame, thank you for posting it. Looking forward to your HawkWatch Int. blog posts. Hurry already!

Very interesting image, Jerry, for exactly the reason you mention - "contrasts". Good job getting both birds in frame and sharp (something I failed to do a few days ago with a Peregrine attacking an adult Red-tail).

Hi Jerry,
We're starting to count Broadwings and Swainson's by the hundreds in Texas. Spring migration has definitely begun.
